With Chelsea’s winning run ended, is the title race still on ?

Tottenham vs Chelsea

The Blues had their first defeat in 14 games, but does that fact make the title race any less one-sided ?

Mauricio Pochettino had his team’s system tweaked before the London derby, and it worked out well for Spurs. Tottenham played with a back 3 and unlike Man City or Everton, they managed to close down Chelsea. Tottenham dominated in the midfield, and Tottenham’s youngster Dele Alli scored a brace to secure a crucial victory, as it turns out not only for his team.

But it appears, one loss in 14 games will not be enough to stop Chelsea. The Blues are still sit quite comfortable at the top of the table with 5 points clear from 2nd place Liverpool. The Reds will face their old time rivals Manchester United in their next Premier League fixture.

Jose Mourinho’s United are unbeaten in 11 games. Even if both teams walk out of the pitch with a point, the result will benefit the table toppers, who have a series of tough games coming up.In the next 4 fixtures Chelsea will square it off with Leicester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
