World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman is surprised with the new attitude from WBC, WBA, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.
Golovkin, who is usually very quiet and avoids making negative statements, has been verbally blasting upcoming opponent Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for several months.
The cause was Canelo's positive test results for the banned substance clenbuterol. Golovkin called Canelo a liar, a disgrace, a cheater, and a longtime user of performance enhancing drugs.
Canelo has long claimed that his positive tests were a direct result of ingesting contaminated meat.
Golovkin will face Canelo in rematch on September 15th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
