According to the source, the Uruguay international will be soon signing the deal and starting the FIFA World Cup clash vs Saudi Arabia as an Arsenal player. The 22-year-old entered the pitch during the last minutes of the clash versus Egypt (1-0). Lucas Torreira is expected to be Arsenal new manager Unai Emery's second signing, as ex-Juventus player Stephan Lichsteiner joined the club for free. The Uruguay international has featured in 36 Serie A matches in the finished club season, having scored four goals and assisted once.
