Arsenal will not be making a move for Maroune Fellaini this summer despite of all the talks him moving to the Emirates.

There have been talks about Fellaini remaining in the Premier League, despite being linked with Paris Saint-Germain.

Fellaini scored a late winner when Manchester United was playing against Arsenal.Speaking after that game, Jose Mourinho said: “The position is that we are almost there but in football almost is not enough.” Later on, he added: “We are almost there but I can’t celebrate because almost is not enough.I want to see the white paper with the United’s crest and Ed Woodward’s signature and Marouane’s signature.I think a player that grabs the crest after scoring is telling clearly that he wants to stay. I want him to stay, the club wants him to stay, I think he will stay, it is nearly there." Emery and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat are working hard to improve the squad ahead of the 2018/19 season.

As Fellaini might not move to Arsenal,adding a powerful midfielder is first thing on Unai Emery's summer transfer list. Steven N’Zonzi, who worked with Emery at Sevilla, is a possibility with the France international hoping to secure his exit from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium this summer.His release clause is £35 million. Arsenal is confident of securing deals for Borussia Dortmund centre-back Sokratis and Swiss international Stephan Lichtsteiner, who is available on a free transfer having left Juventus.
