Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has said that he wants to play further forward for Los Blancos.
Under ex-boss Zinedine Zidane, Kroos was largely given licence to break forward under Zinedine Zidane, but Julen Lopetegui has changed the German's role and he now plays in a much deeper midfield position for the European champions.
"It's a challenge to reverse this situation. We've shown we can do it. We've always had phases like these. It doesn't worry me. I like playing deeper, but I'm not Casemiro," Kroos told reporters.
Madrid will attempt to recover from back-to-back defeats when they host Levante on October 20.
