Tommy Langford has spoken about his new training technique

Tommy Langford has spoken about his new training technique.  “Training is in full flow and going great!” He enthused. “I am pleased to say that I have taken stock of previous mistakes made, not just in my last fight but in many others, and I’d been unknowingly getting few things wrong for quite some time. What was extremely evident to me was that I got it completely wrong on the night; I fought the wrong fight, which was attributed to many things. I’m pleased to say I have identified the reasons why I made those mistakes and have rectified them in training already. "This time, I am in a very good place, physically and mentally, and a happy fighter is a dangerous fighter, so everything is pointing in the right direction.” “The result last April was hugely annoying and extremely frustrating for me, and I was devastated at losing my title. I didn’t get much time to prepare for my last fight and I went from one fight to the next, having only defended my Lonsdale belt to the mandatory challenger Jack Arnfield over 12-rounds in mid-February. I had to work very hard in that fight on and I can see now that back-to-back camps at my level is detrimental and that appropriate rest is vitally important. "Although I’ve had periods of inactivity between fights, due to one reason or another, there has been very little respite in either my training or mental state of mind. This recent break has allowed me close off completely and have a real holiday. The switch-off has been extremely important and I didn’t realise how much I really needed it!” “I’m really looking forward to performing on a big stage again and winning back my British title on one of the biggest nights of boxing in the UK."
