Greek international Sokratis Papastathopoulos has joined Arsenal on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.
He has become the third player after Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang to join Gunners from Bundesliga. Some fans even joke that Borussia Dortmund will soon become Arsenal's academy.
The 30-year-old defender, who has won 79 caps for his country, was identified as one of Unai Emery’s prime transfer targets after the Spaniard took over from Arsène Wenger as manager and finally the deal is done.
