Sadio Mane reveals he spent 300 Liverpool jerseys to Senegalese village for Champions League final

Liverpool star has revealed that he has sent 300 Liverpool jerseys to the village he grew up in. This Saturday there will be a real holiday at the village in Senegal as everyone will gather together in front of TV screens swathed in red. “There are 2,000 in the village, they are all going to be watching. Nobody in the village will work this day,” Mane explains. “My family still live in the village. My mum and my uncle. I bought 300 Liverpool jerseys to send to the people in the village, so the fans can wear them to watch the final.” Mane has confessed that no one believed that the shy,  devoutly religious young man from the far south of Senegal  could one day make it to the final of the Champions League. No wonder they still can’t believe it... especially his close friend from his childhood, who has always been a huge Liverpool fan. Mane takes up the story: “I remember AC Milan v Liverpool. Three-nil down, then 3-3 and penalties. This was a big memory for me. “I was watching in my village, Bambali. I remember being with my friend, a big friend of mine, and at 3-0 down he was completely out. He stopped watching until the end and ran like crazy to get away. “Then he came back at the end and he could not believe it. Even to this day he can not believe it. He came back after the game when Liverpool had won!” Mane hopes that he will be going in the summer after the Champions League final and World Cup and show  everyone a winner’s medal.
