Hull City have confirmed of a successful surgery that Ryan Mason underwent after a head to head clash with Chelsea captain Gari Cahill.
The former Spurs player is now in ‘stable’ condition. Mason will remain in hospital for the next few days as he continues his recovery.
The Tigers thanked both the Accident and Emergency department and Neurosurgery Unit at St Mary’s Hospital for their ‘excellent and swift’ care after Mason arrived at the hospital
Gary Cahill later commented on the incident: “We smashed heads. There was a massive impact and I know he went off. I wish him all the best and I hope there is no serious injury for him”
