Russian hockey team became Olympic champions

Russian national hockey team beat Germany to become Olympic champions in PyongChang. Germany, who beat Canada in semifinals, was leading during the match, but Russians managed to win the game 4-3. This is the first time Russians won gold medals in ice hockey, with one time being runners-up in 1998. Russian player Ilya Kovalchuk became the most valuable player of the tournament.
