Ronnie Whelan criticises Liverpool for the club’s transfer business

Liverpool have tabled a new record bid for RB Leipzig midfielder

Former Liverpool captain Ronnie Whelan has criticised the transfer business done by the club this summer.

“Set against the business Manchester United and Manchester City have done, Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp look like amateurs,” Whelan told Irish Independent.

“Worse, Ronald Koeman and Everton have been spending like they’ve found a money tree.

“Klopp has some gaping holes in his squad and by the looks of things, no more money to spend unless they take Barcelona’s offer for Philippe Coutinho.”
