Robbie Fowler: 'Mohamed Salah has surprised everyone'

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has described Mohamed Salah's debut campaign at Anfield as "frightening".

Ex-Reds striker Fowler, himself no stranger to finding the net on a regular basis during his time on Merseyside, believes that the 25-year-old should target 10 more goals between now and the end of the season. "That is the aim of his to reach 40 goals. It's unbelievable what he's achieved so far," he told Sky Sports News. "I don't think anyone could've envisaged what would've happened. I think everyone knew he was a good player, but to get where he is at the speed he's done - it's frightening. "I'm a Liverpool fan, I want Liverpool to score loads of goals, I want him to score loads of goals. I want Liverpool to be successful and if he keeps doing that it means we are on to something pretty good."
