Real Madrid star asks for forgiveness after Los Blancos draw with Las Palmas

After seeing red, Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale asked for forgiveness, says Zinedine Zidane.

The Welshman left the pitch early, leaving his teammates and giving advantage to the opposition. Cristiano Ronaldo’s double helped the Champions League winners to get a point out of this tie, however Bale felt guilty for the final result.

“He has asked for forgiveness, he isn’t happy with the red card but it is what it is,” Zidane told his post-match press conference (via Marca). “These things can happen, it is a fact of the game and we can’t change it, but with 10 we manage to draw 3-3. As always, I am not going to talk on the topic of referees.

“We aren’t going to look for excuses in this, I look at what we have to do, and I believe that we have to do things better. There are moments in the season like this, for three or four games, but we can’t look for excuses from the referee.”
