Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford commented on the loss of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will be sidelined for at least a year due to anterior and posterior cruciate ligament injury.
“You will see the benefits in years to come,” the 19-year-old told The Telegraph.
“What I have learnt from him is irreplaceable. His influence on the younger players, especially, is fantastic.
“We want that to continue because he is making us into better players,” the forward added.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be able to be back on pitch for the next 12 months, while his current contract with Manchester United expires in summer 2017.
Before picking up the injury during Europa League quarterfinal against Anderlecht, the 35-year-old striker had featured in 46 matches in all competitions of the current season, having scored 28 goals and assisted 10 times.
