Real Madrid kicked-off La Liga season 2017/18 in an away game against Deportivo la Coruna. Despite being superior in every aspect of the game and scoring three goals, Real Madrid experienced a bit of unnecessary action later in the match.
Sergio Ramos has been sent off the referee Jose Luiz Gonzalez Gonzalez. Ramos was shown a yellow card on two occasions and had to leave the pitch.
Yet another red card for Sergio Ramos means that he is now one of those three players who were sent off more frequently. The record belonged to Pablo Alfaro and Xavi Aguado (18 red cards each). Now Ramos stands on the same level with them, having received his 18th career red card.
Now, Ramos will have to miss the match against Valencia at Santiago Bernabeu. To recall, Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the game, too, as he still has to miss 3 matches.
