PSG extend Cavani deal until 2020


PSG striker Edinson Cavani extended his deal with the club until 2020, the Paris side official website confirm.

The club president Nassir Al-Khelaifi commented on the new contract, pointing out the forward’s excellence.

“Edinson [Cavani] is currently the best goal scorer in the world. He is in the circle of great elite strikers playing in Europe. Cavani has strong love bonds with the club, the city and the fans. He will become a part of PSG history,” the president remarked.

Edinson Cavani himself shared emotions ahead of the long years of cooperation with Paris side.

“I extended the contract with PSG under great happiness and excitement,” he said. “It has long been clear that I want to continue creating my history with the club. I have been talking about that a non-stop.

“I wanted to stay with PSG fans and all the others who work on the team, I want to make this club one of the greatest in the world. I am pretty sure PSG are capable of achieving all the tasks we put ahead of us,” the 30-year-old concluded.
