Porto defender on Tottenham radar

Inter Milan want Mauricio Pochettino to be their new manager

Tottenham are eyeing Porto defender Ricardo Pereira.

According to The Mirror, the London club head coach Mauricio Pochettino has identified Pereira as the man he wants to replace Kyle Walker, who is on his way to Manchester City.

The Premier Leagues side will open talks with Spurs this week over their £40million attempt to sign England international Walker.

Pereira is rated at £20 million by Porto.

He has spent the last two seasons on loan from Porto in his homeland to French club Nice, helping them qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Walker is the only key player Spurs expect to lose this summer, with left-back Danny Rose’s long-term knee injury forcing his suitors to shelve their interest for now.
