The player that convinced Fabinho to join Liverpool
Liverpool newcomer Fabinho has revealed the name of the player who convinced him to join Liverpool.
Former Monaco star has won League 1 title and reached to Champions League semifinals in 2016/17 campaign.
He then was linked with a move to Manchester United, but decided to stay in Monaco for one more season before joining Merseyside club.
“He told me how much I would like Liverpool and how impressed he was by the way people here live, and breathe football.” Fabinho said about his ex-teammate Bernardo Silva, who was that player to convince him to move to Liverpool.
“We were good friends at Monaco and he was one of the best players there. We had a real understanding, and I’m really happy for him that he won the title last season. I wish him plenty of individual success this season, but not the title!” Brazil international added (via LiverpoolEcho)
Liverpool have started their 2018/19 season with a convincing win against West Ham United in Anfield Road.
