Everton defender Seamus Coleman has undergone surgery on a double fracture to his leg after Welsh defender Neil Taylor injured the player in a World Cup qualifying match at the Aviva Stadium.
Taylor received a red card and has been given a 1-match ban, but FIFA will have a hearing set to take place inside next two weeks. It is possible that the Welshman will receive a three-match ban.
The ban will only apply to international matches.
Taylor, 28, is already out of the match against Serbia which will take place on 11 June. If the ban is approved the defender will miss the two upcoming games with Austria and Moldova respectively.
