Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho prefers winning Europa League title over finishing in top-4 in English Premier League, as he thinks the European title brings more glory to the club.
“But I prefer to win the Europa League because it gives us the same – Champions League football – but also a trophy, prestige, and a European Super Cup,” Mourinho told his press-conference after Middlesbrough clash (1-3).
“But maybe we don’t win, so we have to fight until we can to try to finish fourth, which is what we did today, without many players.
We had a fantastic attitude and desire from all the boys. It’s a massive victory for us,” he concluded.
Manchester United are now the fifth in EPL. They have accumulated 52 points in 27 games played and lack four points for top-4.
