Mesut Ozil has announced on social media that he has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract at Arsenal.
The futures of the German World Cup winner and Alexis Sanchez had dominated the transfer gossip pages since last summer due to both players' contracts expiring at the end of this season.
Sanchez opted not to renew his deal and instead joined Jose Mourinho's Manchester United in a swap deal that sent Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Emirates.
Ozil was also a rumoured target of United, but the 29-year-old has decided to commit his future to the North London outfit, who secured the signature of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund on deadline day.
