Marcus Rashford received new shirt number

Marcus Rashford has been given new shirt number which belonged to Manchester United legendary player Wayne Rooney. Now Rashford will wear number 10 shirt. Following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure from Manchester United earlier this year, the No 10 shirt has been vacant at Old Trafford. Rooney who previously owned the shirt number scored 253 goals, delivered 150+ assists and won every trophy possible and now Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Rashford will follow his footsteps. “He (Rashford) always wanted it (the number ten shirt),” Mourinho said on MUTV following their pre-season defeat to Bayern Munich. “Of course, he respected (Wayne) Rooney. “And then Zlatan (Ibrahimovic) wanted to have it. Of course, he (Rashford) was in the shadows waiting for the opportunity. “The shirt is empty (vacant). It's something fantastic for the kid, let's give the shirt to him.”
