Manchester United V Wolves: Mourinho to make 4 key changes. Preview and Possible XI

Premier League: Matchweek 6
  • Venue: Old Trafford
  • Date: Saturday 22
  •  Kick-off time: 3:00 PM
Manchester United will be keen to continue their recent good form when they welcome Wolves to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. Both of these teams go into the fixture having won their last two Premier League fixtures. TEAM: Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic and striker Marcus Rashford are both suspended following red cards against Watford and Burnley respectively. Defender Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera (ankle) and Diogo Dalot (fitness) are all edging closer to a return, but Phil Jones (thigh) is available for Wolves' visit. FACTS: Manchester United have won their last six league matches against Wolves at Old Trafford, including all four in the Premier League, one of six sides they have played against on at least four occasions at home in the competition while retaining a 100 per cent record. Wolves have won their last two Premier League matches, both by a 1-0 scoreline. They have not won three in a row in the top-flight since March 1980. United are looking to avoid consecutive home defeats in the Premier League for the first time since March 2014, while manager Jose Mourinho has never suffered back-to-back home league defeats in his managerial career. Wolverhampton Wanderers have scored two goals on their previous seven visits to Old Trafford in the top flight. However, those goals have come in their last two trips. POSSIBLE LINE-UP:
  • Referee: Kevin Friend
  • Assistants: A Holmes, Simon Beck
  • Fourth official: Craig Pawson
