Manchester United star close to new five-year deal despite Jose Mourinho concerns

Manchester United star Anthony Martial , who is out of contract at the end of the season, could soon sign a new deal at Old Trafford after encouraging talks between the club and the forward’s representatives. Martial deal has an option of a 12-month extension that will keep him tied to the club until 2020. In November 2017, Martial was close to extending his deal, but Alexis Sanchez’ arrival changed everything. In the summer Martial claimed he had a wish to depart from United, but the club felt this was an attempt to accelerate contract negotiations. Now the club are close to agreeing a new long-term deal with the former Southampton ace and will prioritise negotiations with Martial and De Gea after finalising Shaw’s future.
