Manchester United plan to sign £72m Real Madrid target

Manchester United are considering a January move for Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez as Jose Mourinho continues to search for defensive options. Despite Mourinho’s wish, United chiefs failed to deliver a new centre-back for their manager in the summer, but now the club are preparing to fill the gap by adding the squad in  the January transfer window. United have already conceded 6 goals in two games against Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur, which could be a real signal that they need to strengthen the squad.
