Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho: 'Plenty of time to sign new contract'

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has suggested that he will eventually sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

Reports have suggested that United are close to announcing that Mourinho has agreed to extend his stay at the North-West giants, with his existing deal having just 18 months to run. However, while revealing that he is happy with life at United, Mourinho has insisted that there is no rush to pen fresh terms at the club. At a press conference, the 54-year-old said: "My contract ends July 2019, so plenty of time to speak. I know that the club is happy and the owners, the board are happy. "They know I'm happy and when that's the case, when one day we decide to do something, we'll do it easily, but plenty of time."
