Manchester United want to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, as they are currently holding talks with the player’s representatives.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are in an active search for a replacement for their current main goalkeeper David De Gea, as the latter’s links with Real Madrid are becoming stronger.
Atletico number one has had a huge rating boost during the last two seasons as he gradually replaced Miguel Angel Moya as the Madrid side main goalkeeper.
The source also claims the Slovenia international’s agents visited Manchester to start informal negotiations with Old Trafford side, however, there is no certainty on the matter.
Jan Oblak has featured in 26 Atletico games in the domestic league, having conceded 19 goals. He is also a candidate for Ricardo Zamora trophy, which is being awarded to the goalkeeper who has conceded the least amount of goals in a La Liga season.
