Manchester City relishing Premier League title defense

Manchester City finally lifted Premier League title at Ethibat today following a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield. Guardiola’s men are 17 points clear of nearest challengers Manchester United and soon will become the first club to break the 100-point mark in case they win the final two matches. Having won three consecutive league titles during his spells at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the City boss is aware of how difficult defending the title will be next season. ‘I think here [in England] it is more difficult but I think that the most important thing is to prepare well then after we will see our level,’ said Guardiola. ‘Definitely we saw with what happened in the last period the team who won – the next season they didn’t qualify for the Champions League. ‘Making back to back in this league is tough but we accept the challenge,’ Guardiola said.
