Manchester City join Vasco da Gama prospect Paulinho race

Manchester City are reportedly monitoring the progress of Vasco da Gama prospect Paulinho.

The Sky Blues are considering tabling a bid for the highly-rated 17-year-old, but face competition for his signature, according to the Daily Mail. Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keeping tabs on Paulinho, who plays as a striker. Last week, the Brazil youth international was named as player of the year in Brazil's Serie A, having scored three goals in 18 appearances for his club. Atletico have reportedly had a bid of around £12m rejected by Vaso da Gama.
