Man Utd ready to hand David de Gea a new pay-hike

Mourinho believes in De Gea United stay

According to the Sun, David de Gea will join Manchester United top earners this summer — two months after a payrise.

The Red Devils chiefs plan to sit the Spanish keeper down once the season is over and tie down his long-term future.

The 26-year-old Spain international still has two years left on his current deal, and the Premier League side will take up the option of adding 12 months on top of that.

United want to nail any lingering doubts he could be a Bernabeu target in the summer, due to the interest from Real Madrid.

No figures have been drawn up as yet, however the keeper – who currently earns nearly £200,000 a week – will move up to United’s top pay tier.
