Man City boss Guardiola rivals Barcelona for Griezmann

Manchester City are eyeing Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

The 26-year-old forward's future with Atletico remains clouded, with a move to Barcelona mooted for the end of this season. Nonetheless, according to negotiations have now stalled between Griezmann's camp and Barca - with claims that City are now in touch. Barca are reluctant to meet the attacker's €100m buyout clause and this has led to Griezmann to considering other options. City boss Pep Guardiola is a fan of Griezmann and sees him as an alternative to the Manchester United bound Alexis Sanchez.
