Why Liverpool wore ‘Seeing is Believing’ on their shirts

Liverpool took to the field against Manchester City with ‘Seeing is Believing’ on their shirts instead of regular sponsors Standard Chartered. Seeing is Believing is an initiative that works with Standard Chartered to improve access to affordable eye care in an effort to tackle avoidable blindness, according to the Liverpool Echo. The Reds have shown their support of the charity in each of the past seven seasons, reserving one match day to wear the charity’s logo on their kit in order to raise awareness. Liverpool first wore the ‘Seeing is Believing’ logo on their shirt when they beat Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield in May 2012.
