Liverpool are trying to sign the Roma goalkeeper Alisson and according to Sky Sports, discussions are underway and at a very early stage via an Italian intermediary.
The Reds made an inquiry into landing the Brazil international during the January transfer window and hope to persuade Roma into selling the 26-year-old stopper who is valued at £62m.
Sky Sports claims Alisson is the Merseyside club’s top target among five goalkeepers they are interested in from across Europe.
He is highly-rated in the Italian capital and was recently described by his goalkeeper coach as the “Messi of goalkeepers”.
