Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski will miss UEFA Champions League quarterfinals first-leg against Real Madrid, the Bild informs.
According to the source, the 28-year-old was not able to recover in the time frame after picking up shoulder injury in Dortmund match (4-1).
During the yesterday’s training session the Polish international had only a 20-minute session with the group. Carlo Ancelotti has previously announced that Lewandowski participation decision will be made on match day, and it seems he decided to keep him off risk.
The striker most probably will recover for the second leg on April 18.
Robert Lewandowski has played in eight UEFA Champions League games in the current season, having scored seven goals and assisted once.
