Legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon made a dramatic statement over his retirement

Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon has confirmed his retirement after Wednesday’s dramatic Champions League quarter-final exit against Real Madrid. The 40-year-old had decided not to hurry up with his retirement if Juventus win the Champions League, however, latest loss against Real Madrid and the red card shown to him made Buffon reconsider his plans. ‘I would die for this club. ‘It is a great sadness to stop playing and leave these extraordinary guys, but life goes on. I hope I have passed on something they will treasure,’the World cup winner said.
