Lampard could start his managerial career in spring

Chelsea’s all-time leading scorer Frank Lampard has revealed that he will be eligible to start his managerial career within a couple of months. He has recently helped Under-18 coach Jody Morris to take sessions at the training ground in Cobham. Lampard has formerly said that he would like one day to take over at Chelsea but for now he is concentrating on his qualifications. The former England midfielder said: “My A Licence will be finished in the spring, in the next few months or so. That gives me the opportunity to work. The Pro Licence will start in the summer — that is what you need to manage in the Champions League and will take a year. “I could get a job before that but I wouldn’t be able to take charge of a club in European competition. If the right opportunity comes up then I’ll take a view on it.”
