Juventus vs Barcelona. Match Preview

Juventus vs Barcelona

Champions league is back with some amazing matches on our spotlight. Quarterfinals will head on with two great games. In one of them, Juventus host Barcelona. The repetition of UCL final 2015, one may say, but this is a new match and a new history. Let’s figure out the pre-match arrangement and the way that both teams reach this match.

Both teams are fighting for the title in their local leagues and now they will have their ways crossed in Europe. Juventus beat Chievo in their most recent Serie A match. Allegri’s men are 6 points ahead of their nearest rival in Italy, which almost surely guarantees a title for them. Juventus are not of such teams that will allow this advantage slip away. Barcelona, on their side, lost to Malaga in an away game despite having a huge opportunity to level with Real Madrid.

Team News

Marco Pjaca is the only player who will not be available for Max Allegri. All others are fit and ready to face Barcelona. Allegri made some changes to his usual starting eleven at the weekend and is now expected to recall upon the services of Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Mario Mandžukić and Miralem Pjanic when they host Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Daniel Alves will be facing his former club Barcelona for the first time after leaving the club and joining Juventus last summer.

Juan Cuadrado, on his side, will have to be careful not to receive a yellow card as he is a booking away from getting a ban and missing next match.

Sergio Busquets will have to sit out the upcoming match as he reached the yellow cards’ limit in the return leg match against PSG. Neymar, Ivan Rakitic and Gerard Pique are also on verge of missing the return leg match vs Juventus, providing that they get a booking on Tuesday.

Pique and Rakitic missed the last weekend’s clash against Malaga due to suspensions and will have fresh legs to face Juventus.

It’s yet to be decided who will replace Busquets in the centre of the park, as Luis Enrique will have to solve a difficult puzzle to find an ideal replacement for him.
