Julien Lopetegui pens new Spain deal

The Spain National team head coach Julien Lopetegui has extended his contract, according to the Spanish football federation. In 2016, Lopetegui turned down the job at Wolverhampton Wanderers in order to lead Spain and the 51-year-old has remained unbeaten in 18 matches in all competitions. That has resulted in the former U-21 coach being handed a new 2 year deal, taking his stay until the conclusion of Euro 2020. Ahead of the World Cup 2018, Spain will play friendlies against Switzerland and Tunisia.
