Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has made a personal phone call and rejected the possibility of joining Manchester United. According to the latest reports, talk over Boateng’s move have begun this week when United travelled to Munich for a friendly against the Bundesliga side.
Reportedly, it was Bayern boss Niko Kovac, who convinced Boateng to stay, with the Croatian tactician keen to work with the 29-year-old.
United’s first Premier League match starts on Friday against Leicester.
