Javier Mascherano: Messi is better than when he won Ballon d'Or

Former Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano shared his admiration with Lionel Messi and expressing hope that the five time Ballon d'Or winner will be able to win World Cup 2018 with Argentina.

"Messi today is much better than when he won the five Ballon d'Or awards," the player told in an interview with the 'Mundo Leo' programme his homeland Argentina. "He's a unique player, a type of player that we'll probably never see again. "Seeing him develop is something that's difficult to believe," the 33-year-old concluded on the matter.
