Internationals: Twelve of Arsenal players have been chosen to represent their countries’ national teams

From September 6 international break begins again with 12 of Arsenal players representing their countries in different championships. UEFA Nation's League  Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Armenian national team will face Liechtenstein and Macedonia on September 9. Aaron Ramsey has been named in Wales’ squad for their matches against Republic of Ireland and Denmark on September 9. Sokratis has been included in Greece’s squad for their Uefa Nations League opening matches against Estonia on September 8 and Hungary on September 11. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Granit Xhaka have been called up to the Switzerland squad for their games with Iceland on September 8 and their international friendly against England on September 11. Danny Welbeck could also feature in that match, having been named in Gareth Southgate’s 23-man squad and also England will face Spain on September 11. Other championships Mohamed Elneny has been named in Egypt’s squad for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger Lucas Torreira has been included in Uruguay’s squad for their friendly against Mexico. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will captain Gabon in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi on September 8. David Ospina with Colombia, for their international friendlies, will play against Venezuela on September 8 and Argentina on September 11. Takuma Asano has been called up to the Japan squad for their international friendlies against Chile on September 7 and Costa Rica on September 11. Kelechi Nwakali has been included in Nigeria’s 24-man squad for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles on September 8.
