Fifa has announced the referee designations for the matches to be played on Friday

Egypt-Uruguay will be officiated by Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers, who participates at his second FIFA World Cup. Kuipers’ has been a referee in UEFA Europa League Finals (2013 and 2018), and UEFA Champions League Final (2014). At the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil he officiated three games.
Italy’s Gianluca Rocchi will be the referee for the second match of Group B between Portugal and Spain. Rocchi took charge of his first Serie A match in 2004 and became a FIFA referee in 2008, making his debut in the UEFA Cup in the same year.
The Morocco-Iran game has been assigned to Cüneyt Cakir from Turkey. The 42-year-old has been a FIFA referee since 2006. He took part in the last two European Championships (2012, 2016), among other competitions. In 2014, he was allocated three FIFA World Cup fixtures in Brazil and wielded the whistle in the semi-final between the Netherlands and Argentina.
