The strongest young fencers of Europe arrived in Yerevan to participate the European Fencing Championships - U23. France Fencing national team already managed to earn 7 medals. Jean-Philippe Patrice, who represents the French team earned a silver medal in Sabre confident that this tournament is one of the two most important championships. "We train all the time for this competitions. It is really important to fencers here today," said Patrice. "To my side during the individual competition I did not do what I wanted to do, but today I fenced better. We earned a silver medal with our team. All the competitions made you stronger and you know what you have to do, in what you have to work and to train more to be a champion". The athlete made a great discovery about his Armenian origins: "My mom is Armenian. She born in France, but origins Armenian and the surname is Arzumanyan, so I'm Armenian. My mother and grandfather are very happy because winning European silver medal in our country is very important". Patrice liked Armenia and want to visit this country one more time.
