English Premiere League. Chelsea vs Liverpool. Preview

English Premiere League. Week 5

September 16, 21:00 CET

Venue: Stamford Bridge, London, England

Referee: Martin Atkinson

Chelsea and Liverpool have shown a mighty start compared to their own performance in the previous season. Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp have the grand aim to bring back the favorite status to their teams in the Premiere League. However, if we take into account the harsh competition of star coaches and players in EPL, the clash between the teams should be ‘just another one’, as they plan to climb the league table further.

Squad details

Both of the teams are more or less in optimal squads with several exceptions. Chelsea defender and captain John Terry has picked up an injury, which gives a high chance for the team’s “old” new-comer David Luiz’s debut. Centre-back Kurt Zouma and Netherland’s international, midfielder Marco van Ginkel are not fit for the clash either.

Liverpool’s losses are less significant. Young winger Shei Ojo and defender Ragner Klavan are injured fo the clash. Another centre-back Mamadou Sakho is yet not confirmed for official tournaments after his drug scandal. However, none of these players are first choice options for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool is considered to start in their optimal lineup.
