Dortmund find Dembele replacement

Dembele tops Barcelona's list of summer transfer targets

Borussia Dortmund sign Dynamo Kyiv striker Andrey Yarmolenko to cover up for the loss of Barcelona newcomer Ousmane Dembele.

It has been reported that the transfer cost 25 million euros for the German Bundesliga side. The club and player came to a four-year agreement.

While signing the contract, Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc commented on the new acquisition of the club.

“Andrey is a player we have been pursuing for a long time and who is on top level both at club level and in the service of the Ukrainian national team for football,” Zorc told the official website.

The player himself commented on the club switch.

“I am very grateful that Dynamo Kiev has fulfilled my dream of being able to switch to a big European club!,” the 27-year-old said.

“I will work hard in every training to help BVB achieve its highest goals – that’s what I always do.”
