Domagoj Vida’s agent reveals that an offer of around €20million could have the power to convince Besiktas sell their World Cup star.
Unai Emery has already invested Stephan Lichtsteiner, Germany international goalkeeper Bernd Leno and former Borussia Dortmund centre-half Sokratis Papastathopoulos. So it remains unknown whether Arsenal will be able to offer as required.
Vida’s agent Ugur Avadan explained: ‘If an offer in the region of €20m arrives, it will be difficult for Vida and Besiktas to say no.’
The 29-year-old himself admits that he is dreaming of a move to the Premier League: ‘I am always dreaming to play in the Premier League,’ he told Haber 1903. ‘I do not know if the proposals will come again in this period. I would like [Besiktas] to make it easy for me.’
Emery is looking for experienced cover at centre-half and Vida, who played a crucial role in Croatia’s unlikely run to the World Cup final, suits the position best.
