Dejan Lovren defends Salah after FIFA decision

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been given Puskas award for the best goal of the year. His stunning strike against Everton in Merseyside derby last season got 38% of votes, ahead of bicycle kick of Cristiano Ronaldo against Juventus in Champions League quarterfinals. Salah was also among 3 candidates of FIFA Best player award alongside with Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, the latest eventually winning the award. However, Egypt international left out of FIFPro Best XI. This controversial decision became a topic of discussion in social media. Liverpool fans couldn’t believe Salah was one of 3 best players, but now even included in best XI. Dejan Lovren, Salah’s teammate posted a photo in his instagram from Melwood and wrote a supportive message for his friend. “Top 3 in the world, but not good enough for the best 11?!?!” he wrote.
