Dan Evans reaches main draw in Glasgow after his comeback from cocaineban

Britain’s Dan Evans has secured a place in the main draw after his comeback from drugs ban. The 27-year-old is in his first event after serving a 12-month suspension for testing positive for cocaine. He beat Irish world number 488 Sam Barry 6-4 6-1 to qualify. Evans was previously ranked as high as 41st in the world. Should Evans win the tournament, he would earn 12,250 euros (£10,785) and pick up 90 ranking points, putting him at about 425th.
