Cavani ruled out against France with Stuai on standby

The PSG forward took no part in Uruguay’s training season on Wednesday and it is extremely unlikely he will be fit for the World Cup quarter-finals. Cavani scored twice in the 2-1 victory over Portugal but limped off during the second half with a hamstring problem. The PSG star was replaced by Cristhian Stuani and it is expected the Girona striker will step in if Cavani fails to recover in time to face France on Friday.
