Edinson Cavani has revealed that he is set to sign a new contract at Paris-Saint Germain.
The Uruguay forward, who has been linked with several European clubs over the past few years, has recently been a target for Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian.
Speaking to Uruguayan radio station Radio Nacional, he said: “It’s true that I am close to renewing [my contract] with PSG. After long conversations, an agreement has been reached.
“Various aspects, of which my brother has been in charge, have been finalised – I concern myself with playing football.
“I hope to continue at PSG and to do so with the same desire and the same passion. I hope to achieve great things here.”
Cavani’s current contract expires in 2018 and he is expected to sign a two-year extension until 2020.
